ODOUR NUISANCE ASSESSMENT FOR SIGNPOST HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Proposed housing development at Brennacott Road in Bideford, North Devon

Gair Consulting Ltd was commissioned by Signpost Housing Association to undertake an odour nuisance assessment relating to a proposed housing development at Brennacott Road in Bideford, North Devon. The proposed development site on brownfield land is located within a mixed industrial/residential development and concerns were raised by Torridge District Council regarding the potential for light industrial units immediately adjacent to the residential development boundary to cause an odour nuisance for residents of the proposed development.

Gair Consulting Ltd assessed the potential frequency and magnitude of any odours that could affect the new residents of the proposed development to support the planning application for the project.
